Bring the Miniatures

Hello Gamers,
It is time again for the Micro RPG weekly update. This week we have one new game for you and a new edition of a popular print and play.

Bring the Miniatures!

Ever since I released the very first Micro Chapbook scenario, people have inquired about being able to play the game with miniatures. Well, I finally have the solution for you!
Still completely soloable, Micro Chapbook TACTICS is a set of add-on rules to make your game more immersive. IT provides guidelines on how to transfer your game from the graph paper to the play mat with miniatures. Move your hero and their companions around the dungeon. Get the tactical advantage on the monsters. Slay the day!
From the description:
Micro Chapbook Tactics is a set of add-on rules for the Micro Chapbook RPG system. While the basic system is designed for simplicity, quickness of play, and ease of entry, some players might desire more from their solo RPG.
These tactical rules enhance the combat experience already present in the game by introducing a map-based tactical system that utilizes miniatures. Much of combat works the same as before, but now with the addition of movement and character placement.
This book will touch on the concepts of tactical miniatures combat and how to best integrate it into your game! This includes concepts for movement, ranged combat, line of sight, facing multiple enemies, etc.
Finally, the end of the book contains a new stand-alone game mode called Kolobard's Arena.
Pick up this new book for only $1.99 on DriveThru. Print soon to come to Amazon.

Take to the High Seas!

An updated version of Blood & Gold: Naval Warfare in the Age of Piracy, is now available to download! This new version includes rules clarifications as well as a few new rules to add some more excitement and tension to the game. New rules include:
  • Sea Attrition: If you are out at sea too long, your crew might starve!
  • Sea Rats: Most pirates are Sea Rats. They long to be on the ocean. Being on land too long makes them uneasy. Thus, the longer they remain on land, the more difficult it might become for them!
Additionally, a new JPG of the map will come with the download, allowing you to print a larger version of the board along with an extra PDF giving tips for printing the game and building it.
All of this comes in conjunction with the new PHYSICAL EDITION of the board game! That's right! You can get a physical boxed edition of the game now from The Game Crafter for $24.99.
If you haven't tried the game yet, give it a spin for FREE (or for a small donation) with the print and play version. Get it on Drive Thru today! And those of you who already own it automatically can head to the site and download the new version!
This SOLO GAME is perfect for anyone stuck at home who doesn't have people to play games with in their household.

Hope in Things to Come

Well, that is all the new announcements for this week, but as we head into next week, I think there is something exciting coming your way. Something that many of you have inquired about.
With this pandemic still running will all over the world, so many of us remain stuck at home. For some of us even, like myself, someone in our home might have the virus thus distancing us more and more from that social connection. We might even be confined to one room and feeling trapped.
But there is always hope!
Next week I have a new project coming that is extremely meaningful to me in this time of isolation--something that will hopefully help you get your social gaming fix if you need it. AND IT WILL BE FREE.
Happy Wednesday to you all and stay healthy and sane out there!
Thanks!
Noah
