Happy Wednesday, Gamers,
It is time once again for the weekly update from Micro RPG. This week's games include a new adventure for Micro Chapbook RPG and something special (and a bit weird) in honor of the 4th of July here in America.
Go Camping This 4th of July
Nothing quite says summer like a good old camping trip. Many of us love camping and hiking. I know I do. Nothing helps my creativity and motivation like being out in nature. However, any good camping trip can be ruined by a sword-wielding maniac.
Today I am happy to announce the first Deluxe Adventure Module for Micro Chapbook RPG. It is a summer themed adventure for one player that takes heavy inspirations from some of my favorite horror flicks. Before becoming a full time game designer, I was actually a publicist and journalist for the horror community. I have a great love for all things horror, especially "theme" horror movies like summer camp.
Midnight on Black Lake makes nods to many of these films I've so loved.
The small and remote town of Black Peak is in an uproar over a recent string of disappearances. Recently, a group of the town’s youth headed up the mountain towards an area called Black Lake on a dare. Unfortunately, the group never returned. Having recently arrived in town yourself, the town Lord and other town members are desperate to get your help to find out what happened to the missing youths, and to discover the dark secret of Black Lake.
This new Deluxe Book only costs 99 cents! I really loved working on this one, so expect more adventures in the future.
Take to the Roads . . . During the American Revolution?
I often love weird and strange themes in games. This new game is no different.
This week's FREEBIE is Road Patriots, an alternate history, steampunk skirmish wargame set during the American Revolution.
Players will build steam cars to battle on the field alongside militia and military in this miniatures game!
Mount a cannon on your car, or simply fire muskets from the cab. It's up to you.
That's all for this week. I will be spending the rest of the month relaxing at home with some historical American Rev wargames and celebrating the 4th with friends and family. So, no new games next week. Please enjoy the many FREE ones I already have up online. Stay happy. Stay safe. Game on.
